Clients in our core areas of work frequently seek to resolve disputes by mediation or arbitration, to save time and costs for the client. Arbitration or mediation rather than litigation is beneficial to the parties to a case, as put by Abraham Lincoln:
We are regularly instructed to assist our clients in mediation from the initial stages, covering advice in relation to the process and selection of mediators/arbitrators, to analyzing the underlying claims, considering settlement options and acting as part of a team representing the client’s interests at the mediation/arbitration itself.
When representing clients’ interests in mediation/arbitration, our members draw on their expertise to identify clearly and concisely the essential elements of their clients’ cases and to present the same to a mediator/arbitrator, and other parties, to settle the matters amicably.
We also accept requests to sit as mediators/arbitrators to settle disputes of parties.
